We are hiring welders that are experienced performing Cavitation Repairs on Hydroelectric Turbines to support the Hydroelectric Turbine Division at FieldCore, a GE Company.
These positions are for work in the US and are for Legally authorized to work in the US candidates. You must be able to pass a drug test and background check. Some of the physical requirements of this position are traveling / field service job that requires
you to be able to be away from home for extended periods of time, shift work, the ability to lift safely a minimum of 50 pounds, perform physical work-related activities, and wear personal safety protection equipment (PPE).
Prior Experience Needed:
Experience welding stainless steel using FluxCore
Able to weld in all positions - 6G
Experience performing Cavitation Repairs on Hydroelectrical Turbines.
Experience with AWS and ASME codesDuties and Responsibilities:
Perform hydro turbine cavitation repair to restore the Discharge Ring, Runner Blades, Lower Bands to original condition.
Review layouts, blueprints, diagrams, work orders, welding procedures or oral instructions to perform dimensional checks in preparation for welding to drawing specifications
Understanding of pre, post-heat, stress and moisture control to relieve techniques and requirements to prevent distortion during welding repair
Use oxyfuel burn, plasma burn, grind and/or air arc metal as required
Ability to identify process issues and offer solutions
Ability to communicate verbal and written as required
All other tasks needed to safely and efficiently complete the Scope of Work.Requirements:
Must have the prior experience listed above.
Candidates must be located in the US and are Legally authorized to work in the US.
You must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
This position is a traveling / field service job that requires you to be able to be away from home for extended periods of time.
This position, from time to time, will require to be scheduled for shift work.
Able to lift safely a minimum of 50 pounds and perform physical work-related activities.
Must wear personal safety protection equipment (PPE) and follow all safety policies and procedures.
